Tanisha Saini English 106.36 Homework Assignmentuh43 SF Gate Homeless 1. The issue is that the number of homeless people lacking sleep is growing and these people have no where to go to sleep at night because they are afraid of being hurt or having their belongings stolen. Therefore, they walk aimlessly through out the night until sunrise and then are deprived of sleep for the day. 2. The article states that, “The reasons for their fear are many -- their teeth will be kicked in if they close their eyes, their bundles will be stolen, they [the homeless] won't wake up. Some are crazy, some are frail and old, and some are women who have too often felt fists upon their faces.” This statement is important to the quality of the article because the article recognizes homeless peoples’ reasons for being homeless and not all are due to drug addictions, which often times is the stereotype against homeless people. Also by stating their reasons for being poor, the article provides different reasons for why the church helps the homeless, instead of just because helping is the right thing to do or because the homeless are poor- general, predictable reasons. 3. Students can assist by volunteering their time to help out the people at this church and ease their stress and work load. The article also stated the St. Boniface church is the only church that holds this type of shelter for the
