Life and Death 2 Life and Death There is a controversial punishment that has been around since the beginning of mankind. The death penalty is a punishment that is used for the crime of murder in America at this time. It has changed form in many ways over the years but it is still active in many states. Some people would prefer that the death penalty be removed as a form of punishment and be replaced with life in prison, where others think the death penalty is the only answer to a horrible crime like murder. I believe that in most situations the Death penalty is the only answer to those who have committed serous acts of murder. Life in prison is what some would choose as just punishment for someone who has committed murder. The reasons may vary. Religion to some dictates that no one should kill, these people believe and eye for an eye no longer applies. Others think that killing murderers lets them off the hook to easy. They feel
