By Joseph and Seyeon Personal Finance Research Research marketing strategies supermarkets generally use to increase sales and verify if these strategies are being used by Bangkok supermarkets. During the past three weeks, our group has come up with a summary of the research he made on Supermarket Sales strategies. The sales techniques outlined below are just some of the methods supermarkets use to increase sales of targeted products, and increase market share against their competitors. We were able to summarize and conclude 4 very common techniques used. They are buying one and getting additional free, the bait and switch, loyalty cards, and customer service. 1. Buy One Get One Free The BOGOF offer usually applies to cheaper household commodities that can be bought in bulk and are used by a wide number of customers. Make use of them where they exist, but don’t buy items you don’t need just because they ‘on offer’. Check the amount of money you are saving and judge whether you will use the extra items.
