M E M O R A N D U M _____________________________________________________________________________ __ To : Dr. Peter Corson From : Group #1 Harold ABC (Lead) Reid D William E Britt F Date : October 14 th , 2008 Subj : Phase #1 Report, Component Cooling Water Heat Exchanger Replacement Purpose : Phase #1 of the CCW HX replacement is complete. The calculated parameters have been tabulated and summarized in this report. Three different possibilities for tubing sizes have been presented, in future reports these three tubing choices will be further analyzed on a cost basis. All three tubing choices meet the necessary cooling requirements. Each HX has been designed to provide the necessary cooling load required by the plant should the other HX fail or need to be serviced.
