Grading Philosophy BSAD 101, Business Leadership Development Fall (1108) Semester 2010 1. Purpose. BSAD 101, Business Leadership Development is a one credit hour course that is Pass/Fail. The course consists of a one-hour lecture and a one-hour recitation per week for ten weeks. What follows is an explanation of the course requirements and grading concept. 2. Attendance. Attendance is mandatory. You may miss no more than one lecture and one recitation to pass the course. One point is awarded for attendance at each lecture (total of ten) and each recitation session (total of eight). Contact the professor for any exceptional circumstances. 3. Participation in Out-of -Class events. To receive a Pass for the course, you are required to attend three (3) out-of-class events during the ten-week period. Each attended event is worth eight points. There are three categories for the out-of-class events: a) Lied Center/Fine Arts Presentations. Choose one of the three performances. (1) “Rockapella”, Contemporary Music, Wednesday, October 6 th , 7:30pm (2) “Fiddler on the Roof”, Broadway Play, Tuesday, October 12 th , 7:30pm (3) “The Capitol Steps”, Political Comedy, Thursday, October 21 st , 7:30pm b) UNL campus sponsored events. Choose one of the two events. (1)
