Two or More Sample Hypothesis Testing Paper 2 Wages and Wage Earners Wages and wage earners are an important statistic for income tracking in The Untied States of America. The industry, type of occupation, years of education, location, gender, age, race, and work experience are just parts of what is taken into consideration for statistical information. A business research question that is going to be further researched through this study is, how years of experience and years of education affect the wages earned. Through developing both a numerical and verbal hypothesis statement, performing a five-step hypothesis test, and discussing the results and finds, the paper will identify the affects of wages earned due to the years of experience and years of education a person has. Hypothesis Statement Now more than ever the big question at the end of a person’s high school career is whether or not to continue school with a college degree. Some people are very confident that a college education gives one the same level of knowledge as someone who has experience in the field. Ten or twenty years ago college was not as common as it is now. Therefore, when sitting in a room of people waiting for an interview there is a good chance that not everyone has a college degree. Many employers ask for a degree or experience. However, some employers ask for both and can reduce the number of applicants they receive by their request.
