Hilliard 258-10-0169 October 4, 2010- January 21, 2011 BA 541 Lesson#2, Assignment 2 Read the Real-Time Ethical Dilemma on pages 77-78 of Business Ethics: A Stakeholder and Issues Management Approach (5 th Edition). Then answer the following questions; your response should be a total of 300-350 well-chosen words. 1. Do you agree with the writer’s decision to inform customers about the strike? Explain. 2. Did management have the right to withhold this information from customers? Explain. 3. Explain what you would have done and why, if you had been in the writer’s situation. 4. What should management have done in this case? When? Why? Yes, I do agree with the writer decision to inform the customers about the strike. The customers where going to keep calling because their expected products where not delivered in a timely manner. Customers should be kept in the loop about any expected or unexpected delays in the delivery of their products. It is unethical to just keep customers wondering about their purchases. Management did a horrible job by withholding information from the customers. By
