Hilliard 258-10-0169 October 4, 2010- January 21, 2011 BA 541 Lesson#9, Assignment 2 Read the Real-Time Ethical Dilemma on page 469 of Business Ethics: A Stakeholder and Issues Management Approach (5 th Edition). Then answer the following questions; your response should be a total of 300-350 well-chosen words. 1. What do you do, and why? 2. If you do decide to go, what specific preparations should you make? 3. If you decide not to go, draft out the dialogue you would have with your CEO. If I was Jane I would go. This could be the opportunity of a lifetime to advance your career in marketing. Russia will be a different culture because it’s a different country that what Jane is use to. The change of scenery could be a good thing for her. It was referred to as the “Wild West” which means its more male friendly. I would prepare myself because going half way across the world will definitely be a culture shock. But this is her opportunity to prove not only to her CEO but to herself that she is just as business savvy as a man. If she decides to go she definitely needs to do her research on the culture.
