1. Common to many large successful companies, this Fortune 500 Company seems to evaluate its selection of customers based on factors such as product quality, delivery, reliability, continuous improvement and overall relations. As a supplier to this Fortune 500 Company, Pawnee Works is forced to meet certain quality and delivery standards, all while providing a competitive market price, in order to keep the business of the Fortune 500 Company. Unfortunately, Pawnee Works is too small to provide the resources needed to provide a product meeting all the requirements of the Fortune 500 Company and still strengthening the firm’s strategic position. Pawnee Works has acquired costs, such as engineering and programming costs, in order to satisfy the specs of this large customer. By keeping the Fortune 500 job, Pawnee Works is also losing some of their smaller customers due to increases in price.
