Approved eye protection (goggles) must be worn at all times in the lab. Contact lenses should not be worn even under goggles because of the danger of trapping chemicals against the eye. Eye Protection

Proper Attire Closed shoes, not sandals, must be worn in the laboratory. Use gloves when handling caustic chemicals. Clothing which offers little protection (i.e., shorts, short skirts, tank tops, etc…) must not be worn in the labs. Long hair must be tied back to minimize the possibility of contact with burners, mechanical equipment, etc… Necklaces and loose bracelets, etc… are not to be worn in the labs since they can be entangled with equipment.

Waste Disposal NO chemicals or waste materials are to be put in the sinks. Deposit chemicals in the appropriately labeled container.
