Social Facilitation Social facilitation – when others are present ( i.e., co-actors are merely folks who are present and not competing with you ) we tend to behave: With more passion (the presence of co-actors) on easy tasks Good at hockey…more people watching you then you will perform better Our behavior is hindered on more difficult tasks Poor at baseball…then you probably be worse when others are in your presence (e.g., watching you)
