Perry Wheeler 25 January 2011 Music Appreciation I do not have much of a musical background but I really appreciate different types of music. Music allows me to calm down by relating to a certain situation I may be in, or it helps me to get pumped up for sports. My favorite genres of music are rock, country and some rap. Some of my favorite artists are Kid Rock, Tim McGraw and Eminem. I haven’t had a lot of experience with different types of music. At Marietta College, I am majoring in Petroleum Engineering. I also participate on the varsity football team. I am a student employee for the Athletic Department. I commute from my home in Reno but really enjoy the college atmosphere. I would consider myself to be a hardworking student who has to work hard to get good grades. Also, I am up for the challenge at Marietta College. While attending Marietta High School, I participated in football and basketball. On my free time, I like to play Call of Duty. A couple of my favorite hobbies are hunting and fishing. During the summer, I basically live on the river, jet skiing and tubing. My friends and family are the most important things to me and have impacted who I am today. In Music Appreciation, I will get an A in the class because I always strive to do my best. I will attend all class functions and study very hard for the exams. I will also prepare myself for the next class by reading ahead in the book so that the terminology will be more familiar.
