Group Presentation Guidelines for HUMA 1301 Based upon the exchange of ideas with their peers and concepts presented during course lecture and discussion, students will work in groups to design a utopia. Group affiliation will be assigned at the end of the first full week of classes for the fall 2009 semester. Since students are required to be present when their assigned group presents, they should contact the instructor in advance concerning any potential conflicts with their participation. Group lists will be posted to eLearning by the end of the second full week of classes, and students are expected to take responsibility for knowledge of their particular group affiliation and scheduled presentation date. Though students will present in groups, grades, as noted in the course syllabus, will be assigned individually and constitute 50% of a student's course project grade. Please contact the instructor and TA with any questions concerning the group presentation. Contact information is available on the first page of your course syllabus. Presentation Requirements: * A group representative should plan to arrive five or ten minutes early to class on the date assigned for the presentation in order to set up materials and media utilized in the presentation. The instructor or TA will be present to aid in set up. * Each group will present for twenty minutes followed by a brief, approximately five minute, question and answer period. With this in mind, groups should plan to be selective in the material presented and the incorporation of media. Make every minute
