From last time (1) For any entity, if that entity has an interest, then that interest needs to be considered equally. (2) Animals have interests. (3) Therefore, animals' interests should be considered equally.

So, We Can See Animals Are equal Racists violate this principle of equality - They do not treat some races' interests equally. Sexists violate this principle of equality - They do not treat some sexes' interests equally. Speciesists violate this principle of equality. - They do not treat some species' interests equally. The pattern is the same in all three.

We eat animals - The ONLY (legitimate) reason we eat animals is because they taste good. Bacon tastes gooooood, pork chops taste gooooood. Really, it is not nutritionally necessary to eat animals. - Moreover, factory farms are HORRIBLE places for animals. To keep prices down (for us) animals are “processed” as efficiently as possible without concern for their welfare. - Because we get pleasure from how animals taste while they experience a GREAT deal of suffering, we prefer our interests over their interests. -
