Singer's Strategy Explain what makes things like racism and sexism wrong. - They violate a basic principle of equality. - They do not value interests (the good) equally. - But Singer is a consequentialist—interests should count equally in all creatures capable of having them. Argue that animals have interests. Therefore, their interests should be considered equally (all animals are equal).
