Polymers break into monomers Anabolic reactions : Endergonic (absorbing energy) o Do not occur spontaneously o Need input of energy to occur (higher E (energy) in products) o Ex. Making polymers from monomers Activation Energy o Energy needed for reactions to o Have effective collisions
