Journal, This is Candy here again, just wanted to write quick thoughts about the trials and tribulations that people of many races had to go through when coming here to the Unites States. From the colonization of the land of Mexico in the 1500’s, to the immigrations of my people today. The history in which follows the Mexican people today with many consequences to follow. The Spaniards had colonizes the land which we all know now as Mexico, right after Christopher Columbus discovered the New World. The Mexican culture came about as a result of the union of the Spanish Culture and the deprived native culture. I sometimes sit and think that how much different our culture would be if we were not of Spanish decent. In the year 1598, my ancestor’s arrives here to what we now know is Texas. There were very few who had ever crossed the border of the United States, which I believe that the border was the one that crossed the Mexican people. The war of the Mexican-American which started in 1846 was mainly over property.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
