16 November 2010 Religion 161: Islam ISLAMIC SCIENCE: The Moors in Spain, before the kings started kicking them out, were encouraged to study and experiment and this led to much achievement and the West benefited greatly from the work of Islamic Science. Science is seen as a chapter really in the life of Islam. In the religion itself, there is a long tradition of science that begins rapidly in the beginning of Islamic sciences. The nineteenth century, Islamic science starts to suffer. There is only once science and that is the science of God. Western science is medival and renossaince. Science has not always removed the idea of God out of the picture. Different scientific traditions in the world that are interrelated. This is a very important subject in the point of view in Islamic science. What is threatening the Islamic world is modern military technology. George Sartan: professor of science who was the greatest historian of science that lived in America. There is really no book that deals with all the aspects of Islamic science.
