Unformatted text preview: Sharon Barazani Period 5 Mrs. Brucculeri Mars Exploration Program via Mars Science Laboratory This essay will focus on one of the key goals of the Mars Exploration Program to explore life on Mars. Almost everywhere water is present, there is life. Hence, the question is whether or not there is now or has there been in the past water on Mars. If so, microscopic life forms could have developed on the surface of this planet. Another possibility is that humans on earth could become the life on Mars, once we know enough about the planet and its extreme environments. Follow the Water is an exploration strategy developed by Nasas Mars Program. This strategy explores the Planets current environment including its dry riverbeds, ice in the polar caps and rock types that only form when water is present. It also explores hot springs, hydrothermal vents or subsurface water reserves.
