ENGL 278--Sitar Midterm Writing Review Punctuation What, if anything is wrong with the punctuation of the following sentences? 1. Edna walks on the beach and avoids contact with Robert. 2. Robert continues to stay behind , but Edna decides to venture out. 3. Edna and Robert look after Mme. Antoine’s son, Etienne, and attempt to put him to bed. 4. For the first few weeks of the story that occur on Grand Isle Mr. Pontellier comes and goes as he wishes without regard for his parental responsibilities. 5. Edna was not “a mother-woman , ” who unlike Madame Ratignolle and the others “ were women who idolized their children, worshiped their husbands, and esteemed it a holy privilege to efface themselves as individuals and grow wings as ministering angels.” (Chopin 9). 6. They return from swimming , and Edna resides on a hammock to await her husband’s return. 7. The men who show interest in Edna -- Robert and Alcee Arobin -- lack the courage to rebel.
