The three steps of business planning are strategic planning, functional planning, and operational planning. These three levels are demonstrated in the case scenario of Qode. The first step of business planning is strategic planning. This step involves the overseeing of a company by top level management. Strategic planning defines the company’s mission, examining the internal and external environment, setting objectives, and developing growth strategies.
