WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LANGUAGE AND THOUGHT 1 What is the Relationship between Language and Thought? By means of introduction it is reasonable to present the concepts of language and thought. It is rational to suppose that thoughts that appear in our mind are revealed with the help of language we speak. Based on various studies of cases of brain trauma, electrical and magnetic influence on brain and the overall pharmacological effects of these and other procedures on brain functioning, and respectively, cognition with the help of language. (Kosslyn, Smith, 2008). Further on, let us look through various approaches to treatment of language and thought, as well as their correlation, and the way the two concepts relate to each other. There are several trends of theories towards language and thought grouped in accordance with their mutual influence. There are three basic tendencies of language and thought relations development: language considerably influences thought, language does not influence thought at all, and language partially influences thought.
