WHAT FACTORS ARE MOST IMPORTANT FOR IMPROVING ONE’S MEMORY OVER THE LONG-TERM (MONTHS)? What factors are most important for improving one’s memory over the long-term (months)? Talking about the most significant factors for improving one’s memory, it must be kept in mind that there is one indispensable condition that cannot be ignored: Improving memory requires changing one’s current lifestyle. Healthier lifestyle choices create the necessary foundation for one’s memory to improve. Indeed, it appears to be worthless to spend time implementing various methods, such as mnemonics, chunking etc., if the person does not get enough sleep continually. Thus, to my mind, one of the most important factors for improving one’s memory over the long-term is to lead a healthy and happy life by managing stress, practicing physical exercises and getting at least 8 hours of sleep every day, sufficiently cutting down on drinking and smoking, planning regular mental exercises.
