Franciene L. Hatcher Course: English Review – ENG 091 Instructor: Janette Vanderpool Date: November 4, 2007 Music and Emotions Music and emotions are related in so many ways. Their relationship is common in most people’s life. It can have a positive and a negative affect on your life. You can even use music to control your emotions or drive your emotions in a certain direction. The influence that music has over our lives is our choice. Music has for time after time stirred up emotions in people for so long now. The relationship between music and emotion are so common. People have used emotion to even help dictate their relationship with other people in their lives. Most music has lyrics and in those lyrics is where you find most people letting their emotions run at. For example the song “I’m every woman” by Whitney Houston got most women excited and pushes them to do exactly what the song said. It started an emotion that then drove women all over to declare that they’re every woman. Another example can be a gospel song. The lyrics to that song can encourage someone or help him or her exercise their
