Renting an apartment is a better option than buying a house Introduction: It depends on your situation and lifestyle as to whether if buying a home or renting an apartment is the best option for you. There are several advantages and disadvantages for buying a home and renting an apartment. Once you read the advantages and disadvantages, then you can decide which option is best for you. I. Advantages of buying a home A. People take pride in saying that they own a house because it makes them feel as if they accomplished something big in their lives. B. You can have the option to have a fixed-rate mortgage instead of having to worry about if your mortgage is going to increase. You can write off your mortgage interest and property taxes.
