Unformatted text preview: All of the authors have some good points about why they are opposed to assisting suicide or for assisting suicide. I can see a person committing suicide or a doctor helping a patient commit suicide if the person is in critical pain from an illness. If the person has a chance to live a normal and healthy life then they do not need to commit suicide. There are people that are in so much pain they would rather commit suicide to be a peace and pain free than to live and be in so much pain all the time. I personally would commit suicide if I was in such pain that I could stand it but others would not commit suicide because it is against their beliefs. People should not commit suicide if they are not in a lot of pain that they cannot stand it. People commit suicide for different reasons such as physical pain as well as emotionally and mental pain. People can always get help for the mental and emotional pain but some of the physical pain cannot be helped and they will have it forever. You can always go to a psychiatrist to get help for the mental and emotional pain.emotional pain....
