Through research and observations, we were able to gather financial documentation for three publically held companies that compete in the putting niche of the golf club market. These companies include Callaway Golf (Odyssey Putters), NIKE Golf, and Adams Golf. We found these companies to be the large players in this competitive industry as far as production, market share, and product awareness. Analysis of this industry is difficult because some large companies do not breakdown revenues into a category as small as putters. Whereas all small production companies of putters are typically privately held with proprietary information. Callaway Golf, owners of Odyssey Putters, has seen peak sales of putters in 2005 and 2007 of close to one hundred and ten million dollars. After the 2007 year we can see a large drop to 2008 of just fewer than eight million dollars, and another drop to under the one hundred million mark in 2009. Golf is a luxury sport to many people, and these drop in sales directly correlate with the past recession and economic downturn. During the 2009 season,
