Introduction In this lab, we will apply the simplification process known as Karnaugh Mapping to a given truth table with predetermined outputs. We will be using the LabView software to implement the same program from the preceding lab. The program’s output will be viewed on the Seven Segment Display while attached to the Spartan 3E. A comparison of this week’s schematic diagram with that of Lab 2’s, will allow for a better insight into the different techniques of Logic simplification and their effects on the resulting number of circuit components. Materials Spartan 3E board LabView software Seven Segment Display attachment Given truth table Background The previous lab focused on logic simplification by means of Boolean Algebra. We made use of the relationships and theorems for Boolean expressions and produced Sum- Of-Products and Product-Of-Sums solutions; by taking advantage of Boolean Algebra rules and DeMorgan’s Theorem, redundant terms and variables canceled out resulting in
