Innovation In order for a business such as Apple to be successful against competition, they must use a great deal of innovation. Innovation is the process of creating something new or making changes to something to make it better. Apple does a great deal of work to create a product that will interest consumers. The first action in the planning process for Apple is to create a mission statement, which outlines what the Apple Corporation’s goals are. Apple’s mission statement says that Apple is committed to bringing the best personal computing experience to students, educators, creative professionals and consumers around the world through its innovative hardware, software, and Internet offerings (Quora, 2010). The second step for Apple is to set goals. The two primary goals that the Apple Corporation obtains are to make the world’s best computers and always to make a profit.
