Organizations must carefully monitor their customers and competitors, continuously, improve their value offerings, carefully define the target market and value proposition and take a long term view to satisfying customers, stockholders, employees, suppliers and channel partners.Strength:Smith and White Corporation (S & W) is the organization, which have presence in many countries. Its large and domestic manufacturer. It has a large product line/ range including lawn, garden, hobby tools, Kitchen appliances, professional and Kitchen tools. S & W have a strong brand identity. It has a major market share in which it operates. S & W operates on unified strategy of complete marketing concept and it has strong product range, established brand equity and well thought and planed national media advertising. It has a strong network of retailers who can store / stock the whole S & W product range due to it synergistic marketing efforts and ability to coordinate cohesively, its higher prices with advanced placements, co advertising & Cross promotions are its stronger points.Weaknesses:The major weakness of the S & W is that its products are not cost effective. The quality of the products is not too good due to its older machines and plants. Location of its manufacturing plants also creates its own kind of weakness i. e. it has been located in high labor cost urban areas. Large number of different products 2also creates confusion among its distribution channels and distributors have to maintain the whole inventory of all products, which ultimately needs more money to invest on the part of distributors. Due to dominant market position and undue influence over distributors, internal dissatisfaction has been generated among distributors. One of the important weakness S & W is facing that one of the emergent product range of Cordless segment is almost absent from S & W products. Large size of S & W, which is becoming unmanageable day by day, is one of the major weaknesses....
