Starbucks Chic coffee to pump up your day. This has been the role of Starbucks for the past years. It redefined the view of humanity to drinking coffee. Starbucks has evolved to be part of the existing pop culture. It is more than just a coffee shop that serves coffee. It is the place to be and the drink to have. It gives an implication that if you drink from Starbucks you are classy and sophisticated. Starbucks first began on the 1980’s as a simple coffee shop until it evolved and improved over time. Coffee is second to oil in terms of rank on the most purchased liquid on the wold. So it’s not a wonder that investors would spent their money and time to create and venture to coffee shop business. Starbucks was highly patronized because it came at a right time. The world has been changing faster than ever. Life has a very fast phase. People are very competitive and driven. So coffee being an energy source needed by many. But as many people are busy, a lot of them do not have time to make their own coffee. Instant coffee was invented but consumers are not given much option. Starbucks used this weakness and turn it into the strength of its business. It gives the consumers options on how their coffee would taste. It is fast and delicious; just as what modern consumers like it. Starbucks is probably the most successful coffee shop in the world. It has branches in every continent all around the globe. Starbucks uses many business strategies in order to be on top of their game. Their main strategy would probably to reinvent themselves every now and then and be able to follow the flow on the waves of the development of living of the human being. 2

Starbucks Any business establishment or any organization as we speak needs a logo. Not just an ordinary one but preferably something that is a head turner. Especially for business purposes, it should be something that catches the attention of consumers by the first glance. Starbucks created a visual brand language that was recognizable and distinctive that can be compared to as to how Coca-Cola maintained the color red and also the Spencerian script, as well as the green bottle for over 100 years. The visual brand language was composed of icons, stories, and color palettes that conveyed the look and aura of Starbucks graphics. The logo is a twin-tailed mermaid, or siren, or mixoparthenos as Greek mythology would have it. The logo has been used and spread out over years. The first version of the logo however was that the Starbucks siren was topless and had a fully visible double fish tail. In the second version it turned out that her chest was oddly covered by her flowing hair but then her navel was still visible and its the fish tail was cropped slightly. In the most recent version, her navel and chest are not visible at all, and only vestiges
