Management: Human Resources 1 Management: Human Resources The reference organization for analysis is Ingram Micro. It is considered to be one of the primary distributors of IT products in North America as well as in other global territories. It was named by Fortune magazine as the largest distributor of tech products in the United States (Ingram Micro).The main business process includes transactions with some of the largest computer related brands for global distributorship. The company’s tie up transactions with the producers makes it possible for it to have multiple networks of corporate and value added reseller accounts. In terms of personal perception, Ingram Micro’s Human Resources department is one of the crucial factors why the business achieved its peak performance which continues until today. The HR team was able to initially set the conditions on hiring only those qualified applicants who are fit for the sales partner positions. Since the business’ primary transaction involves reselling and distributing products to different segments of the market, it is very crucial that sales representatives have the skills to efficiently interact with clients. The company is engaged from small retailers up to corporate level resellers like IBM and HP. So in a sense, the sales team is required to have a good grasp of the market flow for each dealer. The Human Resources’ ability to identify these attitudes among the applicants was very effective.
