Script Project Manager: Good Evening! Hello, I’m Laura Waclawski, the project manager of the Patriot Planners. * Introduce others * We are a new start up event planning firm debuting our first event in Washington, D.C. Tonight, we will be outlining our event and indulging you with what our event has to offer. So sit back and relax, and get ready for ‘A Night of Indulgence.’ Everyone please, close your eyes. It is now, 1920, Congress has just ratified the 18 th Amendment, outlawing the consumption of alcohol. What to do? We suggest you….Go to a speakeasy! (knock, no answer, knock, knock, knock {Laura sneak over to the door}) Project Manager: Well, hello there. Venue: Hi, I’m Laura Genovese and I am the event coordinator for the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. I will be working with you and advising you about our venue. Project Manager: Excellent. So Laura, tell me about your venue. Venue: The ballroom you are looking at has a surrounding hallway with lower ceilings, dimmed lighting, and dark walls. Tell me about the location of this Marriott Wardman Park Hotel Laura? Venue: Well, we are located in Washington, D.C. off of Woodley Road, just a block from the Woodley Park metro stop that makes this location accessible to commuting guests. This location also allows for ample parking as well as access to taxis. Project Manager: This venue sounds almost too good to be true. I do feel like this venue would be ideal to gain a profit from our target audience. I’m thinking our well-respected entertainment, intriguing theme, and the potential we have for sponsors make the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel an excellent site and location. Venue: Just curious, Laura… Why are you holding this event? Project Manager: I’m glad you asked! There are so many social and professional opportunities for this event. We can have a change in social environment and develop relationships and network with attendees for future events. Venue: I really support the ideas and opportunities presented with your event. I plan to promote your event to our
