Personal Safety Personal Safety Safety – protection of an individual’s physical well-being and health. Security – protection of an individual or business’s property or assets. Reasonable Care – a legal concept identifying the amount of care a reasonable person would exercise in a specific situation. Liable – legally bound to compensate for loss or injury.

Guest Safety Guest Safety Damages - the actual amount of losses of costs incurred due to the wrongful act of a liable party. Compensatory Damages - a.k.a. actual damages - the monetary amount intended to compensate injured parties for actual losses and damage they have incurred. Punitive Damages - the monetary amount assessed to punish parties and to serve as an example to the liable party as well as others not to commit the wrongful act in the future.
