Homework:  “We are all subjective” 1)  Visit  Wikipedia’s list of biases . 2) Browse the cognitive biases for 15-30 mintues. It’s really quite interesting! 3) Choose one bias  that will affect this class.   It could relate to how we view  and evaluate evidence, how we choose to present materials, or how we frame  our arguments.  A couple good examples are the “interloper effect” and  “confirmation bias”.  Below is my short report on the confirmation bias: IMPORTANT:  Your bias must relate to writing class.   There should be plenty  of examples for creative minds to use.  Essays that do not demonstrate a  connection to writing class will receive half credit.  Essays under 100 words will  receive half credit. Length:  ~125-150 words Submit via DropBox for homework points. Confirmation Bias
