1Role of Theory in Quantitative ResearchStudent NameInstructorCollegeCourseDate
2Deductive reasoning is always reasoning from the specific to the general. The hypothesis of the study is developed based on the existing theories at hand. After which the research strategy is designed and the hypothesis is duly tested to prove the theory (Green & Salkind, 2017).Theory is a line of logic and thinking that could be true or false before it is tested. It relates to a business problem as it highlights some of the thoughts about the business issue and gives possible suggestions for answers to the business problem (Saunders et al., 2015). Italso relates to the statement of the problem in the sense that the statement has not yet been tested. Therefore, the statement of the problem remains a theory which has been proven Achievement of doctoral development in a theory-based study in the sense that the research activities that are being conducted in the process of the study are not yet tested. Therefore, the hypothesis will remain only a hypothesis until it has been tested and proven. (Demšar, 2016). Every study and research-based program is only theory-based before the test is conducted. Therefore, theory elaborates the context of the study of which the researcher determines that theory is indeed accurate and true in all contexts.ReferencesGreen, S. B., & Salkind, N. J. (2017).
