See textbook pages 134-135. Humanity created in the “image of God” means several things. One is that it is a reminder that god created us and that from this he has some authority over us. It also means that we are in a sense owned by God and thus we are accountable to God. It also means that those who bear God’s image within themselves must dedicate themselves to him. For contemporary society that means that we must pay attention and give some respect to where we come from. We must keep remember our origins and keep our faith in the person who created us. 2.
