Capstone CheckPoint: Reflections on Nutrition I learned a great deal in this class. I didn’t know that it was important to get my refrigerator serviced every year. I didn’t know that it was important to cool foods completely after cooking before placing in the refrigerator. I realized my diet before taking this class had been terrible. I ate mindlessly, without even thinking about what I ate. Being so busy, I would just stop and pick up fast food for a meal. I knew it was bad but I didn’t think about it. I now make sure we eat as healthy as possible when we are out. If it isn’t too late in the day, I will wait and make food at home. I actually enjoyed everything about the assignments during this class. I say this because I didn’t know some of the safety issues that are related to storing and using the

I love to use the exercise tool to show me how much I work out and see how many of the calories I burn off. For me it is very important to make sure I do everything to make nutritious healthy meals. There are health issues in my family that makes it imperative to do everything I can to keep my family on a healthy diet. Before using the three-day tracking of what we ate, my diet was terrible. I now have a food diary that I keep track of everything I eat. I use it to make sure that I stay on track and I do not go back to my old habits. It’s also great to keep track of my activities....
