Terrorist attacks such as the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, are two such events that effected the country, and are still used to study terrorist ideologies. These terrorist attacks are completely different, committed for completely different reasons. There were different targets, different victims and done for different political reasons. What justified one being called an internal terrorist attack and one being labeled a domestic terrorist attack, and who gets to choose how they should be labeled? When looking at these two terrorist attacks there are certain criteria that can be compared, the tactics that were employed is one criterion to look at. In 1993 bombs exploded in a parking garage in the World Trade Center, “…leaving a crater 60 feet wide and causing the collapse of several steel-reinforced concrete floors in the vicinity of the blast”[ CITATION Wor20 \l 1033 ].In the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, a truck carrying powerful bombs parked in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, “Atprecisely 9:02 a.m., the bomb exploded. Within moments, the surrounding area looked like a war zone. A third of the building had been reduced to rubble, with many floors flattened like pancakes. Dozens of cars were incinerated, and more than 300 nearby buildings were damaged or destroyed”[ CITATION Okl20 \l 1033 ]. In both of these terrorists attack the tactics that were used were bombs that were planted in cars. One of the most important things about a terrorist attack is who the terrorist group is targeting. In the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, the goal was to get the 2ndWorld Trade Center to fall into the 1st, killing everyone inside, “…explosives expert Ramzi Ahmed Yousef arrived in New York City on a flight from Pakistan and began planning an attack on the World Trade Center, with the alleged goal of toppling the north tower

They luckily failed in their mission, but not without the loss of lives, “Six people died, including a pregnant woman. More than 1,000 others were injured, mostly from smoke that snaked its way up the stairwells and elevator shafts”[ CITATION Wor201 \l 1033 ]. In further investigation there was proof that these terrorists were plotting to destroy more American historical landmarks, and the United Nations headquarters.
