Jeremy Doncouse MGMT303 May 3, 2009 Choose a product or service upon which you would build a business. Answer the following questions: What is your primary product? My primary service would be to teach beginning and intermediate piano lessons. Will there be more than one? Along with playing the piano students would need to learn rhythm, site-reading, scales, and music theory. Define your target market. Who are you trying to sell to? My target market would be beginners in piano and music as well as those who are considered intermediate. There would be no age limit or requirement as both young and old can begin fulfilling their dream to master an instrument. Furthermore, the market segment would be defined as those in Pocatello, ID and the surrounding area with transportation to my home for lessons, who desire to learn to play piano and learn music theory, who are attending beginning class piano at Idaho State University, and whose parents want them to learn music skills. I would not target advanced practitioners as they are competition.
