ORGANIZATIONAL STRATEGIC RESPONSE 2 Assignment: Organizational Strategic Response to the ACA The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) is a healthcare law passed and signed into law in 2010. The ACA prompted the creation of state-run health insurance exchanges thus it guarantees that most U.S. citizens can buy health insurance. An important aspect of ACA to note is that it prevents insurance organizations from denying benefits to patients with pre- existing health conditions (Feldman, Buysse, Hubner, Huffman, & Loe, 2015). Feldman et al., (2015) highlights ACA was created to meet three key roles that include reducing the uninsured population in the U.S. and ensuring affordability of health insurance service as well as health care. ACA also improves health outcomes and advances the performance of various healthcare systems. This research discussion recommends two policy for a health services organization, their importance to the PPACA implementation and the necessary steps as a health administration leader to follow to make sure the health services organization addresses the implications of PPACA. Policy Recommendations Community Health Centers Community health centers created by the health services organization will support the provision of primary care services to unwarranted communities. This provision of care to these underserved communities should not be limited by the patient's capacity to pay. The Affordable Care Act established the Community Health Center Fund that expanded health care services to additional community health centers across the country (Han, Luo, & Ku, 2017). The Community Health Center Fund under ACA provides $11 billion that is used to expand the community health center's services. Health services organization will be able to provide various forms of health care services in areas where various health services are scarce due to
