ASSIGNMENT: EDUCATIONAL THEORY 2 Assignment: Educational theory Even though many classrooms are based upon one technique or the other, and have been set up this way for centuries, my educational theory will be constructed of behaviorist techniques as well as constructivist techniques. When I am creating a classroom for students I would like to create an atmosphere that is calming and helps the children focus their attention solely on their academics. I believe a mixture of behaviorist techniques and constructivist techniques will allow me to help children be creative in ways that will enhance their scholastic abilities. When organizing a classroom for students I will design a room that supports positive, respectful, and peaceful behavior through visual aids. The visual aids used in our classroom will remind children of the rules of conduct, and other respectful behaviors such as say “please” and “thank you.” I will organize the classroom into smaller sub-classrooms, using stations and defined areas for each aspect of the classroom.
