CHECK POINT: ELL CHECK LIST 2 Check point: ELL check list 1. In order to ensure that any students that are in any class will be successful in their academics, I will try to use a Sheltered English approach in the classroom. I believe that by using a mixture Spanish and English in the classroom will help educate students in both languages. 2. In classrooms teachers must try to keep an open mind to the fact that any students will come from many different back grounds and cultures. As educators they must believe that it is part of their responsibility to learn the many different learning disabilities that many students will face throughout the year. 3. Hopefully schools will be able to have roaming teacher’s assistant to provide the ELL students with one on one attention that is sure to be needed. If the school does not have a teacher’s assistant, teachers must try to learn as many helpful linguistically skill as they
