Zip Disk or equivalent with Projects saved Review homework #6 and #7 Final Project Folder (1 of 4) OUTLINE TITLE PAGE TABLE OF CONTENTS I suggest a "table of contents" for each major section as well. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY 1-2 pages highlighting major MANAGEMENT/USER-oriented features of the system. In essence "Why should management pay you to develop this system? Please review the EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Guidelines in EXECSUM.DOC on website. Final Project Folder (2 of 4) PROJECT OVERVIEW (Use narrative form; 1-2 pages for each of the items below.) Overview of the business environment (2-3 pages). Description of the system design: Technical specifications. What hardware and systems software were used? Operational functionality What are the KEY functions/tasks performed? Operational procedures How to manually operate the system. Put in a copy of the Menu Hierarchy Chart you would use to organize the system. Description of database design Overview of design approach you used with chart depicting the design (SO diagram or ER diagram). Final Project Folder (3 of 4) Description of System Design (continued) Recommended future enhancements Description of end of "period" and year close out procedure (by file). For example, weekly closeout, monthly closeout, quarterly closeout and annual closeout procedures. These may be recommendations. Assumptions made and system limitations Personnel assumptions, cost, time period, data, system, organizational assumptions, etc . Test procedures followed. How was the system tested. What Data? What software? Anomaly prevention features & Data integrity controls Normalization criteria used; domain constraints, key constraints.. Systems security and control features Password systems used; file protection; backup & recovery systems; disaster recovery systems? CONCLUSIONS & SUMMARY NOTE: Project Specifications CAN change until: FREEZE DATE: November 14, 2007 (FRIDAY) Final Project Folder (4 of 4) APPENDICES Table of Contents for the Appendix A.
