GROUP 2 REACTION: With the different standards stated, also including other national and manufacturer standards which were not stated in the paper, wouldn't it be easier for the global market to have a universal standard so that equipment can be sold to different countries without variations? Response: Yes, it would be easier for the global market to have a universal standard. This is being taken up by the CENELEC with their Harmonization program wherein they try to harmonize the different national standards in order to remove the technical barriers to trading.
