Presidential Power Inherent Executive Power: Presidential authority  inherent in the executive branch, though not  specifically mentioned in the constitution “The executive power shall be vested in a  President” 1. executive privilege: right of the president to  deny Congress information; not unlimited. 2. executive orders

Executive orders:  presidential directive that has the force  of law, though it is not enacted by Congress. Modern Presidents are more likely to use them. Congress can nullify them Court can declare them unconstitutional.
