One of the most important of these events, especially for oceans, is Paleoceanography. This process is the rebuilding of and analysis of past environmental conditions of the ocean though its processes; it utilizes a variety of information sources, especially analysis of deep-sea sediment cores. Through the use of this science, Paleontologists have been able to discover many important facts and obtain a better understanding of how the world works. The way this science is studied is by using data from biological, physical, chemical and geological methods, which is exacted from particles that accumulate on the ocean floor. With this data, scientists obtain information about the ocean’s temperature from the time of death of any living creature or material on the ocean floor. Over the course of thousands of years, many layers
