o Provide an example of a human behavior that is considered deviant in one society, but is not considered deviant in others. What are the factors that have contributed to this society's perspective of the deviant behavior? Why does this society consider the behavior to be deviant but other societies do not? • • Well, religious beliefs can be considered taboo or deviant in various societies. Such as in a strict Christian society, they would frown upon me for a few different reasons. My last name is Islam, which is a religion known as Islamic or Muslim. This makes many strict Christians upset and assume I’m following the religion I carry as a name. Then if I were ever honest to them, I’d be treated even worse I think; I’m actually a Wiccan with an agnostic-nature in mind. Then in in a Wiccan society, they’d be okay with a Christian living near them. They are more opened to people making their own decisions regarding religions and many other life-choices. • o
