He saw his father preaching at many different churches and watched as he moved the crowds. Malcolm never really believed in Jesus per say but was astounded by how people were able to feel the spirit. One day after a conflict with his wife, Malcolm’s father left for a walk and never came back. His body was found and his head bashed in. This made his mother crazy per say and she was admitted to the mental institute and the children were split into different homes. Malcolm went from home to home in Lansing until he went to live with his half-sister. He was affiliated with many older men on the streets of Boston and pursued a hustling life. He only took this lifestyle for granted and then got caught in the act of stealing from the rich. When Malcolm went to jail, he pursued the religion of Islam. He was self-taught and finished “school” by reading books from the jail library. When he got out he spread his knowledge of what he learned to his old friends and many others.
