Please note that all lecture related material will be posted on the Chem 110 web site; lab related material will be posted on the Chem 111 web site square4 Lecture notes are “outlines” and are not meant to replace attendance at lectures, but if you miss a lecture you will know what material was covered and can get the information from the textbook. square4 Chem 111 Laboratory: Lab Schedule and Pre-lab information is available on the Chem 111 web site. The lab web site should be consulted before every experiment. 3 Goals for the Course square4 To gain an understanding and appreciation of the basic concepts of chemistry square4 To develop problem solving skills square4 Chem 111: preparation to continue to Chem 120/121 square4 Note: if you intend to take Chem 121 you must take Chem 111 which includes the laboratory. The laboratory cannot be taken separately at a later date. square4 These courses assume limited basic knowledge of chemistry to start.
